JURA’s fine foam technology allows you to enjoy specialty coffees such as latte macchiato, cappuccino, macchiato and flat white in outstanding quality. To keep things that way, we developed a milk system cleaner which takes the form of mini tabs. Together with the automatic cleaning program, they effectively remove milk fats and proteins. This keeps the tubes clean and hygienic for consistently fine, light-as-air milk foam.

Phosphate-free

There is a long history of pronounced awareness of environmental issues and sustainable use of resources and energy at JURA. This explains why JURA's original milk system cleaner contains no phosphates. The optimised formula guarantees TÜV-certified hygiene for your milk system while protecting the environment at the same time.

So far, so good!

So far we love the Jura 8 Twin. Still experimenting with various types of drinks but it makes our favourite drinks just the way we like, so very happy with the purchase!

Better living through chemistry

Originally Jura sold a liquid for cleaning the milk system. When the effervescing tabs came along I was skeptical. The effervescing tabs were slow to dissolve and sometimes blocked the circulation of the cleaning liquid through the machine during the cleaning cycle. This resulted in less effective cleaning. I usually pre dissolve the tabs the day before. Still, I’m not clear if this is appropriate - maybe the bubbles are helping to clean the hoses and frother? I usually run the milk cleaning cycle every day but it doesn’t clean everything in the frother or the hose to the milk cooler. I regularly have to clean the milk supply line to the machine manually (small brushes). I also wish there was more information about cleaning nondairy milks such as soy, almond, etc., especially “barista” formulations. Having recently found out I’m lactose intolerant I’ve tried some of these alternatives and discovered they also leave residue and require cleaning and yet I don’t have much information on the efficacy of the Jura tabs with these other “milks”.
